After one of the longest Autumns many of us could remember, suddenly it was the cold 6th-8th December long weekend, known here as “The Bridge”. And, before you know it, we will be eating turkey and shellfish and christmas pudding , raising a toast to the New Year and singing AULD LANG SANG as we wave goodbye to 2014 and welcome in 2015.
We thought you might like this list of well- known Christmas songs and carols as, with the aid of You Tube etc, you can download your favourites, sing along while you listen and learn new ones for next year. You can see videos of all types of Christmas music and musicians, hear the songs of your choice in different languages and watch how other cultures celebrate the season too. All the family can enjoy these moments together.
And don’t forget to read the Christmas story, “T´was the night before Christmas”, to your children and lose yourself in the magic of the fantasy that lasted through our early years. We know we are stopping time for a moment. But, sometimes this is necessary.
And finally for those of you who shy away from all the Christmas tinsel and hassle, have a good break, enjoy the peace and the winter scenery, share moments of fun and relax.
Have a good festive season and all the best in 2015.
Who is already writing that new year´s resolution list?
